Let's Talk Health

Better Conversations. Healthier Communities.

What is Let's Talk Health?

Let’s Talk Health is a free, interactive two-hour training session for people who work or volunteer across Nottingham.

It gives you practical skills to recognise when someone may be ready for change, start a healthy conversation naturally and help them identify their own next step.

You do not need to be a healthcare professional. The training is for anyone who regularly speaks with Nottingham residents about health, lifestyle or wellbeing.

What You Will Learn

During the session, you will learn how to:

  • recognise when someone may be ready for change

  • understand motivation and common barriers

  • use active listening and open questions

  • avoid communication habits that reduce motivation

  • help people identify their own solutions

  • signpost people to appropriate local support

A Simple Conversation Approach
